Ming Campbell, Lib Dem party leader, visited Bedford today to back Christine McHugh in her campaign to be the new Mayor of Bedford Borough.

Christine was second in the last Mayoral election and this time the election is seen as a two horse race between Christine and incumbent Frank Branston.

Ming visited the Gostwick Rd Cop Shop where he talked with local beat manager PC Surinder Ram about local policing. He then went with Christine to visit the Emmaus Village Carlton, which is a is a community of previously homeless people, which runs a re-cycling business.

Ming made a short video message whilst in Bedford, which can be seen on this website.
