Liberal Democrats Campaigning to Save Bedford's Post Offices Have Slammed the Tories' Hypocrisy on the Issue

Bedford Borough Lib Dems have slammed the "breathtaking hypocrisy" of local Tories over Post Office Closures.

Commenting, Liberal Democrat Cllr Dave Hodgson said:

"The hypocrisy of the Tories on Post Office closures is truly breathtaking. After devastating local communities by closing 3,500 local branches when in government, they are now shedding crocodile tears over Labour's continuation of their policy of running down the local post office network.'

"The battle to save local post offices in Bedford Borough is absolutely crucial to the health of our local communities, and it needs to be fought with commitment and sincerity. Please visit the campaign website at www.savebedfordspostoffices.org.uk to sign the petition."
