The endorsement comes after Mayor Dave Hodgson's Executive declared a climate emergency earlier this year, alongside a target of achieving carbon neutrality for the Council by 2030.

Cllr Vann recorded a short video update following the meeting. He was joined by Liberal Democrat Councillor for Newnham Ward, Cllr Jake Sampson, who delivered his maiden Full Council speech on the amendment, on climate change and on getting more young people involved in politics.
