Stop the Bus Cuts

Please sign our petition below to back our campaign to save vital bus services in Bedford Borough.

Stagecoach has confirmed that it is planning to axe vital bus routes from 31st May. Routes 7 and 10 are being totally discontinued and other routes are being changed and reduced.

Across the area we are seeing important routes axed. The Conservative-led Council has totally mishandled their responsibility for the local bus network. £300,000 of extra government funding to support bus routes in Bedford Borough has instead been used to offset the council’s financial crisis.

These massive bus cuts affect people’s ability to get about and particularly to get to work, the shops and health services.

I oppose the bus cuts that will hit many local communities and call on the council to step up to ensure that our communities continue to be served by a regular, reliable bus service.
