Action on Abbey Fields Speeding

Local Liberal Democrat Borough Councillor Tim Hill has been campaigning against the "boy racers" and "speed merchants" who have been treating Abbey Fields as a race track, especially during the summer months.

Local residents will remember Tim collecting many signatures on his "Action on Abbey Fields Speeding" petition from homes across the Abbey Fields estate.

Tim is very pleased to report that his Liberal Democrat colleague, Highways Portfolio Holder Cllr Charles Royden has asked the Highways Department to look at consulting local residents on providing an enforceable 20mph speed limit from Elstow Lower School to the low numbers of Abbey Fields.
