Bedford Borough Council in the red on potholes

Bedford Borough Council is one of the 13 lowest-ranking local authorities on a new government system that measures how councils are tackling potholes.
Those rated ‘red’ – including Bedford Borough – are not meeting the expected standards in one or several areas measured by the ratings.
Cllr Henry Vann commented, "Our council is failing on potholes. It is deeply disappointing to see Bedford Borough ranked red, in the 13 worst councils.
Whilst money has been wasted on vanity projects, basic services - like fixing our roads - have clearly fallen off the Conservative Mayor’s priority list."
