Bin Collections over the festive period

With the Christmas and New Year bank holidays coming up, there will be a few changes to bin collections.

Bin collections will not be carried out on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day so collections will be slightly different over this period and are expected to return to normal by Monday 14th January.

Residents across Bedford Borough recently received a tag on their bin with the changes over the festive period, and the collection calendar for next year. Bin collection days and changes over Christmas can also be checked at www.bedford.gov.uk/bins

Liberal Democarts Councillor Charles Royden, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Transport said "Take a moment to check your bin collection calendar over Christmas and New Year. These changes mean we won't be disturbing residents over the festive bank holidays, but we apologise for any inconvenience these changes may cause."
