Bus Passes Go Further In Bedford Borough

Cllr Michael Headley today reminded all those with an eligible bus pass that not only does it cover off-peak bus travel but it also covers peak travel too within Bedford Borough Council's boundaries.
Cllr Headley, Liberal Democrat Portfolio Holder for Finance, said, "Despite the financial pressures, we are really pleased to fund an improved bus pass scheme from within the Council's budget. Whilst the Government only supports off-peak travel for the elderly, local Liberal Democrats feel it is important to fund peak travel as well. Even the Tories would only support off-peak travel"
