Today, we are celebrating Jamaican Independence Day by flying the Jamacian flag at Bedford Borough Hall. Jamaica gained their independence on 6th August 1962.

Before the flag was raised at Borough Hall, Mayor Dave Hodgson met with Kingsbrook Councillor Patrick Solomon who is of Jamacian heritage.
