Clean Air Day

Today is Clean Air Day, and Mayor Dave Hodgson has emphasised the importance of this 'critical issue', which the council is tackling in a range of ways.

Commenting on Facebook, Mayor Dave said:

"It's #CleanAirDay2019 today. Air pollution really is a critical issue and an unseen but major factor for the health of us all.'

"The Council obviously has a key role in tackling air pollution and we're working on ongoing measures to make a real difference such as, for example, cutting traffic congestion, encouraging cycling and walking and much more besides.'

"In terms of what we can all do personally to protect our own health and our family's health, this is a useful website with some helpful information and expert advice.
