Conservative-run Peterborough Council look to reduce financial help for those in need

As part of their Budget consultation the Conservatives on Peterborough City Council are looking at reducing the amount of financial help provided to residents on low incomes through the Council Tax Reduction Scheme.
In Bedford Borough, we are very proud that under Mayor Dave Hodgson we have a Council Tax reduction scheme that provides a 100% reduction for the poorest and Dave has fought to ensure this remains the case.
