Mayor Dave Hodgson is encouraging everyone to use their vote in today's important elections taking place in Bedford Borough, with the European elections across the Borough and the council by-election in Putnoe.

Commenting, Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "Voting is underway, and the polling stations are open right through to 10pm. Make sure you have your say in these important elections. In Putnoe Liberal Democrat candidate Rosemary Bootiman served previously as both a Borough and County Councillor for Putnoe, and is running for the opportunity to continue the Liberal Democrats' record of hard work and getting the best for Putnoe. In the Europen elections, vote for the Liberal Democrats if you want to vote for a party committed to Britain remaining in Europe, working to reform it while standing up for British jobs."
