Former Conservative Leader of Northamptonshire quits

Heather Smith, the former Conservative Leader of Northamptonshire County Council last week quit as a Councillor.
Northamptonshire Country Council famously run out of money and had to slash virtually all their services after years of Conservative mismangement.
Ms Smith said in her resignation letter "I do not believe my presence will serve any useful purpose anymore to the council."
