Great news for Kingsbrook as Jubilee Skatepark reopens

A huge well done to local charity Youth Voices Connect and their Skate Park Group who brought a petition to Bedford Borough Council and were backed by local Kingsbrook Councillor Dean Crofts. Cllr Crofts proposed the Council back their petition to see Jubilee Skatepark upgraded. 

The new park has now been upgraded with new barriers, anti-slip paint and partial resurfacing, thanks to the contractors too and the Councillors who backed the Liberal Democrat proposal!

Councillor Crofts commented, '‘It is fantastic news that the skate park is due to re-open for the young people of Kingsbrook and the local area. They presented a petition to the Council meeting in July calling for investment  and I was pleased to support them by proposing a motion that these repairs be carried out. Petitions to Full Council and supportive ward councillors can really make a difference to local areas: these repairs are a great result for Kingsbrook.
