Join our Social Care Team

As part of the response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Bedford Borough Council are looking for people who would like to join the Social Care Team to support the most vulnerable residents during this difficult time.
They are looking for temporary, agency staff initially, however, there may be opportunities for permanent roles following the crisis period if you decide that caring is for you.
The type of work they are asking people to undertake will include:
- Working alongside more experienced care staff who assist people with daily activities in their own homes - for example, getting washed and dressed, support with preparing/eating meals and drinks
- Hands on care and support with older people in residential and nursing settings
- Helping with general domestic duties in residential care homes
Previous experience and training is not essential but if you do have past experience, the Council would like to hear more about it.
