Reclaiming the Alleyways, Improving Community Safety

An alley gate at the back of the houses in Grosvenor Street has helped residents by controlling access and deterring those who shouldn't be using the alleyway.
Residents then were able to clear dumped items from the alleyway thanks to a bulky waste collection, funded by Cllr Anita Gerard and Cllr Andrew Gerard's ward fund.

Action on Eastcotts Road Green Space

Cllr Anita Gerard welcomed the prospect of action on the green space area along Eastcotts Road. A group of local people are getting together to plan what can be done.
Putting this green space into use is something Anita and her colleagues raised with the Council some years ago. Recently the area was threatened with development for housing, but Mayor Dave Hodgson ensured the space was removed from the Council's Allocations and Designations Plan, so was saved from residential development.
