Mayor Dave Hodgson announces Christmas card competition winner

Bedford Borough Mayor Dave Hodgson has announced the winner of his Christmas card competition.

Over 400 entries were received from young people from across the Borough with many schools and home-schooled children taking part.

The winning design was from Amelia aged 10 from Shackleton School. Amelia's design centred on a Christmas tree and also included the 'kindness' message which has been so important this year.

The runners-up were Liyah from Camestone School with a snowman design and Ibrahim from Brickhill Primary School with a cracker design.

Mayor Dave said "Congratulations to Amelia, Liyah and Ibrahim. I was impressed with all the entries and thank everyone who sent me their designs."

A selection of the designs are on display in the Howard Centre.
