Mayor Dave's Message: 'This Community Belongs to all of its Residents Equally'

Following the EU referendum, Mayor Dave Hodgson has issued a clear message of unity to Europeans and all residents living in Bedford Borough that 'this community belongs to all of its residents equally'.
In a message published here, Mayor Dave said:
"I want to send a very clear message to all Europeans living in Bedford Borough that you are welcome here. This community belongs to all of its residents equally.
People from Europe and indeed all parts of the world have helped shape Bedford and make it what it is over many years, especially since the Second World War.
It is vital that the message rings out loud and clear that all Bedford Borough residents are welcome here."
