Mayor Dave visits Bourns

Last week, Mayor Dave Hodgson visited Bourns who are celebrating their 75th year of trading.

Bournes are based on Brickhill Drive in Bedford, and have an established reputation as a leading manufacturer of Circuit Protection Semiconductors, primarily serving the Telecom Industry. The Bedford operation is a key division of US owned parent company Bourns Electronics Group, which is a significant player in the global market for Electronic Components and Integrated Solutions.

Bourns take pride in being an employer of choice, employing 120 people in their manufacturing plant.

Mayor Dave Hodgson met with Daniel and Darryl from the management team to discuss the companies exciting growth plans and how the components they design and manufacturer are found in so many everyday products we all use, including smartphones.
