Bedford River Festival Parade of Boats

Mayor Dave Hodgson has expressed his 'huge thanks' to everyone who attended and everyone who took part in any way over what was a fantastic river festival weekend for Bedford.

In a message on his Facebook page (www.facebook.com/davethemayor), Mayor Dave wrote of how the efforts of so many local people and local groups mean that the festival retains its 'unique character and community feel'. He also offered his thanks to the team who are now 'making it all disappear!'

Mayor Dave wrote: "A HUGE thank you to everyone who visited and to everyone who took part in whatever way over the River Festival weekend. Wonderful to see so many people of all ages having fun, right across the site. It's one of the country's biggest free family events, yet it still retains its unique character and community feel thanks to the efforts of so many local people and local groups.

And a big thanks to all those who are now making it all disappear!"
