Mayor's Welcome for BEW as Yet Another Business Chooses Bedford Borough

Mayor Dave Hodsgon helped mark the arrival of another new business in Bedford Borough this week, at the opening of BEW Electrical Electrical Distributors' Bedford branch.

In addition to being invited to do the honours with the customary ribbon-cutting, Mayor Dave talked to staff and to local electricians and manufacturers about the new wholesale trader at St Martin's Business Park.

In a brief speech, he noted the company's South London roots - BEW stands for Balham Electrical Wholesale - and assured them that they would feel at home South of the River in Bedford!

Commenting, Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "I'm delighted to welcome family BEW Electrical Electrical Distributors to Bedford. Their investment in Bedford represents more jobs and opportunities locally, and it's clear from the opening event that everyone involved is looking forward to contributing to the borough's vibrant business community."
