McHugh Comments on Hospital Trust Star Rating

Commenting on the zero star rating for Bedford Hospital Trust, Lib Dem Mayoral Candidate Christine McHugh said:

"This is a very disappointing verdict. I know that the star rating system is far from perfect, so the people served by Bedford Hospital need to know if there is a real basis for this poor rating. Many people are very satisfied with the care they receive at the hospital. The doctors, nurses and staff at the hospital are caring and hardworking. However, if this star rating is justified, we need to hear a commitment from the Hospital Trust Board that improvements will continue to be made."
