National Day of Romania

We are celebrating Romania's National Day today by flying the Romanian Flag at Borough Hall.
The day is also known as the Great Union Day and commemorates the unification of Transylvania, Bessarabia and Bukovina with the Old Romania Kingdom composed of Wallachian and Moldavia in 1918.
