Liberal Democrats welcome plans for a new secondary school in Bedford

In response to reports that a new secondary school is planned for the west of Bedford, Cllr Hilde Hendrickx (Bedford Borough Liberal Democrats Children and Families spokesperson) commented: 

‘This is good news for pupils in Bedford. There is a growing shortage of secondary school places in our area. We were worried that this would have been cancelled just like many other projects have been. This is just the boost that is needed in the west of Bedford area where it is planned. We now need to see all the details speedily sorted out so that it can be open as soon as possible.’
