News from Putnoe- Parking Problems at the Rugby Club

26 Oct 2011

Unfortunately, the new season started with a return to parking problems for local residents on Sundays. Some of the parking restrictions put in

last year have been ignored.

Sallyanne Smith said "Since the start of the season we have been working with the parking wardens to make sure the restrictions are being

enforced. To make the area safer we worked with the council to get the new yellow lines put in last year and before that the restrictions on

parking on verges. We are disappointed that again some drivers are ignoring them."

The council have now confirmed its plans to ensure that there is more parking enforcement taking place here on Sundays.

The new camera enforcement car will also be used to issue tickets. The Rugby Club have made efforts to provide more parking by hiring the

Mark Rutherford car park and they warn visiting teams not to park illegally.
