Northamptonshire child protection services in crisis

We are used to hearing of Conservative-run Northamptonshire's financial woes, but now it transpires the Council's child protection services are also in crisis.

Ofsted inspectors have publised their findings that states children referred to Northamptonshire Council's Social Services were not effectively supported or protected. They have also said the situation is getting worse and blamed the political and financial turbulence at the Council highlighting poor oversight and management as a key factor.
