The spectacular Fire and Light Show takes place along the Embankment in Bedfordon Tuesday 29th November and this year's event promises to once again provide a fantastic start to the Christmas festivities inBedford town centre.

 

The festivities start from 7pm with fireworks set to music along the River Great Ouse. This year's show is Aladdin themed but further details on what we can expect from the show are being kept firmly under wraps!

 

When the show is finished, Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson will flick the switch and the Christmas lights acrossBedfordtown centre and along the Embankment will come to life.

 

Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, said: "The Fire and Light event is always a spectacular show for the whole family and is a fitting way to officially start Christmas in Bedford town centre.

 

"It all kicks off from 7pm so get there early to get a good spot and help welcome Father Christmas to Bedford this Christmas."

 

This year's event will be sponsored by Tesco Metro,Midland Road. Store manager, Sobia Saleem, said: "We feel really proud to support this year's Christmas Lights Switch on and Victorian Christmas Fair. People really look forward to these festive events and consider it to be one of the highlights for the local community.

 

"We want everyone to come along and see Father Christmas, soak up the festive atmosphere and get into the spirit of Christmas."
