Saving Our Buses- Wootton

Cllr Paul Prescod has recently celebrated with colleagues the saving of rural buses in Bedford Borough.

Paul said, "Thanks to Mayor Dave Hodgson and the Liberal Democrat Councillors on Bedford Borough Council bus services in Wootton are still going strong."

Unlike some neighbouring Councils, Bedford Borough Council has decided to continue supporting rural bus routes. Buses in Wootton village are continuing to run every half hour on the same route and Stagecoach will continue to offer their weekly and daily passes too.

Paul added, "Rural bus routes are vital for many people in villages like Wootton. Without them there are vulnerable residents who would not be able to access important services."
