Sri Gurdwara Sahib Ji Ramgharia Sikh Society stonelaying

Today, Mayor Dave Hodgson visited the Sri Gurdwara Sahib Ji Ramgharia Sikh Society to commemorate the foundation stone laying for a new Gurdwara on Ampthill Street.

It has been a long road, since the foundation of the Ramgarhia Sikh Society in 1973, to the acquisition of the current Gurdwara in 1984 to this stone laying today.

Mayor Dave said "I would like to thank the Committee for keeping me informed of their plans and congratulate them on getting to this stage and driving the project forward with perseverance and dedication. I look forward to seeing the Gurdwara being built and hope to attend the opening when it is complete."
