The appointment of Mrs Susan Lousada as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Mrs Susan Lousada, DL, as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Bedfordshire on the retirement of Mrs Helen Nellis CVO on 6th September 2022.

Mayor Dave Hodgson said "I would like to congratulate Susan Lousada on the announcement of her appointment as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Bedfordshire from this September. I have worked with Susan previously when Susan was the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire and I look forward to working together again. I would also like to congratulate Mrs Helen Nellis on a well-earned retirement and thank Helen for many years of dedicated service."
