Village Tour 2012 - Thank You

My Village Tour 2012, during which I held 63 open street surgeries in villages across the Borough's rural areas, is now over, and I want to thank everyone who came out to speak to me. The fact that so many residents took the opportunity to raise the important matters for them and for their community is much appreciated.

Once again, speeding came up as a recurring theme, and I obviously talked to people about my speed limit review, which has already seen a swath of local rural roads made safer, and the average speed cameras which are soon to be introduced. In addition to the general issues like speeding, there were of course a number of matters particular to certain villages or areas, and where I wasn't able to help on the day and have taken requests away, please be assured I am working through them as swiftly yet thoroughly as I can!
