Through the Household Support Grant, Bedford Borough Council is offering a grant to Bedford Borough residents who get 100% Council Tax Support, to help those facing the biggest impact of the growing cost pressures for food, energy and other necessities.
Bedford Borough Council will be providing vouchers to families with children eligible for income related free school meals.
There is lots happening at The Higgins Bedford and the Borough's Libraries this half term. At The Higgins Bedford there will be fun, creative family activities celebrating our home town and get exploring with Kevin the Platypus. There will also be craft fun at Bedford and Kempston Libraries as well as craft activities that can be collected from Putnow, Bromham and Woottoon Libraries.
On Friday (4th February), Bedford Borough Mayor Dave Hodgson and Leader of the Liberal Democrats Sir Ed Davey visited the new Bedford Green Technology & Innovation Park.
