Mayor Dave Hodgson has recorded a new video about Coronavirus vaccinations in Bedford Borough. You can watch the video here. In the video Mayor Dave Hodgson says: There is a some good COVID-19 news at last! There are approved vaccines and vaccinations started in Bedford Borough earlier this month. There are currently two sites in the Borough - Kings House on Ampthill Road and the Gurdwara in Queens Park. The Hospital is also vaccinating and a start has been made on care homes. I have been told that all care home residents and staff will be vaccinated by the end of January. I'd like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to all staff and the volunteers who are making this happen. You will have seen on the TV news that progress is patchy across the country and in Bedford and the East of England we're behind on delivery. Flood Warning issued

A flood warning and flood alerts issued in Bedford Borough

Following persistent rain over the last 24 hours, the Environment Agency have issued a flood warning for the River Til at Yelden, Upper Dean and Lower Dean and flood alerts for the River Kym at Riseley and the Great Ouse through Milton Keynes, Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
