With national restrictions in place closing businesses including pubs, restaurants and non-essential shops Bedford Borough Council is calling on residents to do everything they can to drive down infection rates and avoid the extension of restrictions locally in December.

Mayor Dave Hodgson took part in an Armistice Day ceremony at the Bedford War Memorial on the Embankment yesterday, at 11am. As with Sunday's Remembrance Service, it was a reduced service in line with current regulations and to ensure the safety of all involved.
