Bedford Borough Council continues to update its coronavirus webpage with all changes to council services and other important information. Updates on Saturday 21st March included the closure of all libraries, barring the limited exception of Bedford Central Library, which will be open today, Sunday 22nd March, from midday - 2pm for the use of public computers by library users only.
In response to the Government's announcement about the closure of leisure facilities due to the coronavirus outbreak, all leisure sites provided by Fusion Lifestyle are now closed until further notice. For further information, please visit Fusion Lifestyles website.
Following the announcements made by the government on 20 March to the tackle the spread of the coronavirus, The Higgins Bedford and all Bedford Borough Council libraries will close with immediate effect with the exception of a reduced service at Bedford Central Library.
To enable the Council to prioritise staff on essential duties at this extraordinary time, the opening hours of the Council's multi-storey car parks will be changing from Friday 20th March.
