Stunning new figures have revealed that the comprehensive energy saving programme introduced by Mayor Dave Hodgson has reduced Bedford Borough Council's carbon emissions by a massive 53%.
In two weeks, on Friday 9th November, the Royal British Legion Bedfordshire is hosting a special performance to commemorate those who have lost their lives in conflicts past to say "Thank You" at the Corn Exchange.
In 2011 Bedford Borough Council set a target of reducing carbon by 40% but the Council has gone even further and hit a 53% reduction in carbon emissions since 2009/10.
