Visitors to the River Festival may have noticed the Virtual Orchestra in Riverside Square. The Virtual Orchestra is an immersive experience from the Philharmonia Orchestra and has a 10-room installation where you can play along and sit on stage with the orchestra.

Mayor Dave Hodgson has launched a rallying cry for local people to have their say on the plans for the closure of Putnoe Walk-Centre, after NHS Commissioners launched a consultation on their proposals to close it in May next year.
Responding to Govia Thameslink Railway's decision to compensate only season ticket holders despite the recent railway chaos, Bedford Liberal Democrat Councillor and commuter Councillor Henry Vann said "It is all very well desperately offering compensation late in the day, but this is rubbish. Thousands have found themselves stranded by Thameslink's incompetence with little to compensate them but the Government's feeble excuses.
