Mayor Dave Hodgson has launched a rallying cry for local people to have their say on the plans for the closure of Putnoe Walk-Centre, after NHS Commissioners launched a consultation on their proposals to close it in May next year.
Responding to Govia Thameslink Railway's decision to compensate only season ticket holders despite the recent railway chaos, Bedford Liberal Democrat Councillor and commuter Councillor Henry Vann said "It is all very well desperately offering compensation late in the day, but this is rubbish. Thousands have found themselves stranded by Thameslink's incompetence with little to compensate them but the Government's feeble excuses.
Thameslink have published their new timetables, these will come into effect from Sunday 15th July. Let's hope they stick to these better than the last ones and that they can quickly get back to the providing a full service. You can view the new timetable here.
