Real Change Poster

Bedford unites to make a “real change” for rough sleepers

This week, posters will be going up across the borough to raise awareness with the public about services and support for rough sleepers. Alongside this, the Bedford Homeless Partnership has established an alternative giving fund, which will be known as "Real Change".

Lib Dems Launch Ground-Breaking Manifesto

At a packed campaign launch with local party members on Tuesday evening North Bedfordshire Liberal Democrats enthusiastically endorsed their national manifesto.​ Daniel Norton and Henry Vann, Parliamentary Candidates for North East Bedfordshire and Bedford and Kempston respectively, spoke to a crowded meeting discussing plans to Stop Brexit and deliver a brighter future for Bedfordshire. ​Henry Vann, Parliamentary Candidate for Bedford and Kempston, said:​ "We will Stop Brexit, tackle climate change and invest in our local NHS with a penny on income tax. On the most important question of the day, Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party don't know where they stand and the Conservatives and Brexit Party are stuck with a hard Brexit no-one voted for." ​ "That is why we are welcoming so many new members and supporters from the old Labour and Conservative parties of Corbyn and Johnson.​ In Bedford and Kempston, the Conservatives lost all their seats in May and the Liberal Democrats are in with a real chance here." ​ Daniel N
