The Council's Community Hub has, this week, started issuing emergency basic food parcels.
Following Government instructions for slowing the spread of COVID-19, works by contractors on Britannia Road will be halted as soon as the site can be made safe.
Eligible businesses are invited to apply to Bedford Borough Council by 19th June for a grant of up to £10,000 from the Government's discretionary business support grant scheme.
This week is Volunteer Week 2020, and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of the volunteers in the Borough. This year my thank you is even bigger than normal, with so many people volunteering during the Coronavirus pandemic to help others.
Four voluntary organisations in Bedfordshire, including two in Bedford Borough have been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.
