4,500 Tonnes of Salt Spread on Bedford Borough's Roads Over Winter as Crews Work Round the Clock
Bedford Borough Council's gritting crews have been out on over 50 gritting runs this winter, and have used about 800 more tonnes of salt than they had by this time last year.

Bedford Christmas Market and other Christmas events this weekend
This weekend Bedford will host a special Christmas Town Market in collaboration with Bedford Bid and Made in Bedford. As well as local bands and choirs providing entertainment, there will be local artists and makers with gifts and decorations.We will again see free family amusements rides for children throughout the town centre.

Have your say on tackling street drinking in Bedford town centre area
Today is the deadline for responding to Bedford Borough Council's consultation on a proposed new Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to tackle street drinking and related anti-social behaviour in Bedford town centre area. This PSPO would give the Police and authorised officers powers to enforce against people breaking it.
