Mayor Dave Writes: Opening up Community Facilities... For the Community!
In his latest monthly article in the Times and Citizen, Mayor Dave Hodgson has written of the increased range of opportunities to enjoy a number of community facilities in parks and open spaces in the Borough this summer. These include the Pavilion cafe building in Bedford Park, where the brand new 'Window At the Park' will be opened formally on Saturday monring at 10am. Pictured here is Mayor Dave Hodgson with Nansi Rose and Emma Garrett, the team behind Russell Park's Kiosk at the Park, who are responsible for the new venture after winning a Council tender process.

Mayor's Good Luck Message for Schoolboy Footballers as they Head to National Final
Mayor Dave Hodgson has issued a good luck message to the Bedford & District Schools FA under 13 team on the eve of their English Schools National Final at the Madejski Stadium, Reading. This is the first time in Bedford Schools FA's history that the district has qualified for the later stages of the national competition.


Mayor's Congratulations for Putnoe By-Election Winner Cllr Rosemary Bootiman
Mayor Dave Hodgson has congratulated the new Liberal Democrat Councillor for Putnoe Ward Cllr Rosemary Bootiman after her resounding victory in yesterday's by-election. Cllr Bootiman won with a majority of over 650 votes, and takes her place as Putnoe Ward Cllr alongside her Liberal Democrat colleague Cllr Michael Headley.
