The Bedford Mayor's Charity will benefit from a special screening of Blazing Saddles this Friday, 5th February 2016 thanks to the support of Bedford Film Festival and The Place Theatre.
Mayor Dave Hodgson visited Bromham Lower School yesterday morning, where he met pupils and staff and talked to them about the move to a two-tier schools system. For Bomham Lower, this will mean current Year 3 pupils staying on in September 2017 as the school's first Year 5 pupils, who will then stay on into Year 6 in 2018/19 as the school becomes a fully fledged 4-11 primary school.

All Councillors present, across the Liberal Democrats, Labour, Conservative and Independent groups voted in favour of the budget, which included measures required to bridge a funding gap of over £9million due to brutal government cuts and rising need for care services.
