Twinwoods Incinerator Turned Down: The Right Result!
I was delighted to receive an email from the Department of Communities & Local Government yesterday morning carrying the excellent news that the local decision to refuse planning permission for the proposed waste plant at Twinwoods near Thurleigh has been upheld. This plant would have caused real disruption to local communities, creating an unacceptable increase in lorry traffic in nearby villages and harming the enviroment, working against efforts to increase recycling.

FUNDING SECURED JUST IN TIME AS COLD WEATHER LOOMS OVER US
Bedford Borough Council has secured an extra £124,500 funding to ensure vulnerable people stay warm throughout life-threatening spells of cold weather.
