Mayor Dave Hogson has laid a tribute to the Queen at Russell Park where Bedford Borough Council has set up a Floral Tribute Site at the western end of the park.
A Book of Condolence will be opened on Saturday at the Harpur Suite in Bedford. This will remain open from 8am to 5pm until the day after the funeral for those who would like to sign it. There is also an online Book of Condolence you can sign at www.royal.uk
With the day of Her Majesty The Queen's State Funeral being marked as a bank holiday, local refuse collections will be changing across Bedford Borough Council.
