Bedford Borough Liberal Democrats are looking to build on their fantastic record of protecting nature and enriching the local environment. They have championed biodiversity by establishing the hugely successful Bugs and Bees project, continuing the fantastic flower displays on The Embankment and protecting the many parks and green spaces across the Borough.
The 2023 guided walking tours with the Bedford Association of Tour Guides are now available to book. There are eight different tours for visitors and residents of Bedford Borough to discover, each full of history and fascinating stories.

This week, Bedford Borough Council is starting works on the development of a new fitness area at Mill Meadows, as part of the £1.5m Riverside for All project.
New figures estimate that the 30,000+ trees planted in Bedford Borough in this planting season alone could absorb around 300 tonnes of carbon each year. As well as absorbing hundreds of tonnes of carbon, the trees will enrich the local environment and have many health benefits.
