Mayor Dave Hodgson has congratulated local students and school and college staff following the publication of A Level exam results. The results across Bedford Borough showed more local students achieving top grades, in the face of the widely-reported national decline in A* and A grades.

Having held the first seventeen open street surgeries of his ongoing summer village tour, Mayor Dave Hodgson has thanked everyone who has come out to speak to him so far. Mayor Dave is once again getting out and about to villages right across Bedford Borough to enable people to talk to him directly about the issues that matter to them and their community.
New classrooms are to be built at schools serving Putnoe this year as part of Dave Hodgson's commitment to replace all temporary classrooms with permanent buildings. Phase 1, planned for this year includes Hazeldene Lower and Newnham Middle. Other schools, such as The Hills Lower, Mark Rutherford, St Thomas More and many more wider afield will follow in the next few years.
